A monologue
Why people ultimately do not get along
Does not require a genius to figure out
In every situation, put yourself in the other person’s shoes
And see things from her perspective
What is good for you may not be good for her
No matter how much you think you are correct
May not appear so to her who makes a personal decision
In fact, overstepping the line of her freedom
Is an utter disdain and disrespect to her
Dispense your advice but do not insist
Give your views and no more
Be gentle and not grating
Then step away and let her nature take its course
She would start to mull over what you have said somehow
She would decipher what is the preferred approach
She would draw nearer to you if she wants to
That is the moment of openness, trust, and acceptance
That is the moment to render your unbearable urge to help
Meanwhile, repel, refrain, and resist the temptation to change others
Do not ask to be snubbed
Leave things be and know when you are not needed
Everything will be alright.

This poem reflects the perspective of the composer, for which we must accord it with due respect.
Ultimately, each sees the same thing but in different light, as in a half filled glass, you can call it half empty or say it is half full, based on your attitude in life.
In fact everything is relative in the world we live. But many may not be aware that there is still an absolute and a manifestation of it, is the ABSOLUTE CONSTANCY OF THE SPEED OF LIGHT from which comes the great equation of E=mc2.
One may choose to withdraw from the noise and haste of this world. But Still many choose to be proactive, like the good Samaritan or what Glenn Campbell sings in his inspiring song, TRY A LITTLE KINDNESS .
If you feel you have done no wrong,, you need not be defensive or apologetic as you speak your mind or be fearful of being snubbed , for indeed there are many sensitive, self righteous and judgmental people around , but you need not conform to or be confined by their frames of thoughts and beliefs. Just align your mind to the goodness of God above.
If you are right, you don’t need to be apologetic or be angry, but if you are wrong, you have no right to be angry when people give you constructive feedback.
Exercise more to relax and be at peace with God and our fellow human beings.
