I do not believe in Gambling still
Whether it takes luck or skill
If you want money in your till
You do better to be good at a skill
I associate the Casino joint with Death;
Jackpot, a slow death
Roulette, a subtle death
Blackjack, a quick death
Poker, a deceitful death
First of the money, then of the spirit
Work is what I truly believe in
Everyday that you work, you win
More money, cheer and peace
And ability to live a life of ease

Don’t dwell in the past
Nor fret about the future
Live in the present
Let your focus be
On the awareness of being
At your present state
It could be sitting
It could be doing
It could be resting
When you drink your tea
When you take a stroll
When you lose your way
Be still and quiet
It is time to be pensive
And wisdom will flow

Features of a Senryu poem
1 Senryū is a Japanese form of short poetry similar to haiku in construction: three lines with 17 syllables~ 5 , 7, 5
2 Senryū tend to be about human foibles while haiku tend to be about nature, and senryū are often cynical or darkly humorous while haiku are more serious

Every morning, the world is at my feet
I know that I can explore any street
My mind is free as can be
Because everything is up to me
My battles are not on the battlefield
Instead they often reside in my mind field
Where troubles may brew and grew
If I do not tame my imagination shrew
One’s mind conjures up anything that’s possible
Usually negative and implausible
Sometimes they really goes out of hand
They spoil an otherwise perfect plan
The heart feels before the mind knows
Because the heart rules and the mind goes
So tamper the ill feelings in the heart
That would be a very good start
Don’t let others’ problems mar your day
Since you can’t control anyway
Set first your heart at peace
Others will see and stop their beasts
Life is wonderful as it is
Seize the day always with ease
Life can go by like a breeze

Time is an artist
It’s like a brush
Based on what one experiences
It paints on each individual life canvas
It sketches, strikes and even smudges it
On hindsight
Those painful encounters and sleepless nights
Have all morphed into a faint vista by the hands of time
We may reminisce about the slight scars by now
But time has healed them
Time, with its invisible hands
Works its magic without us knowing
The pain may no longer be palpable
Because we have learned to let go and finally dismissed them.
Time has healed us
Life’s ups and downs is the normal state of affairs
It’s usual to be surrounded by a period of darkness at times
A situation of hopelessness, despair and even grief
Leave it in the capable hands of Time
For Time is patient, perpetual and palliative
Time will heal us
Take heart,
You do your part when challenged
With each determined step to move forward
Only with courage, growth and zeal
You will seize whatever Success, Serenity and Seventh Heaven
That rightfully belongs to you

I worry about nothing because nothing is permanent
I worry about nothing because one cannot do anything about what one cannot control
I worry about nothing as I have a choice not to worry
I worry about nothing because tomorrow I may not be around
I worry about nothing because all problems are created by self
You have all the answers to unravel your worries
When you have no more worries,
I bet you will find things to worry about
Because that’s human nature and instinct
Do what you can
Believe that all things shall pass
And Prayer may bring you a miracle
