….. on a beautiful ski day in Aomori

This snow that is soft and fluffy
Could sometimes be hard as stone
I don’t blame it for my fall
The fault is mine alone
The answer lies with me
Do I know where I am weak
Reflecting on it is key
Then soon you’ll be back on your feet
It’s me and me alone to face my dare
Even as others feel the scare
Victory is mine to savour
Even as others do not favour

an article about accountability and not pinning the blame on anything or any person.
Nice and self encouraging poem of a lesson learned. However there was a temporary coach to guide you along the skiing route. Apparently, she failed to practice due diligence by not prompting you to wear your knee guard. Yet, you are so kind to accept full responsibility for your oversight, while the coach remained unapologetic. So you learned the hard way, experience is indeed a hard taskmaster. After the fall and the pain, you have gained wisdom and grit in the process. Thank you for sharing your experience in the poetic words that rhymed from beginning to end.
To be exact, everyone is responsible for oneself. I did not put on my knee guards as I was in a hurry. This was a hosted programme and they are all good snowboarders while I am a basic skier who signed on the wrong programme. Hence the confusion. The host was kind enough to change into skis to follow me through. It was terrifying and I was like the fish out of water.
I made it in my awkward way down what I considered perilous for my standard but I made it and she was very encouraging and rooting for me all the way.
After that I asked for an easier course and the irony was that I fell not during skiing but when stopping and not digging into the snow with the skis hard enough, clicking my knee but not a serious injury.
😂🥲
